Granny’s Crock Pot Chronicles: Granny’s Buffalo Chicken Dip

Granny’s Crock Pot Chronicles: Granny’s Buffalo Chicken Dip

Hey there, my darlings!

Welcome to the start of Granny’s Crock Pot Chronicles - just in time for colder weather and football season! This is where I’ll be sharing my tried-and-true, lip-smacking recipes that’ll make your dish the favorite at your next gathering. Today, we’re kicking things off with a dish that’s hotter than a Minnesota July summer day and smoother than my best dance moves: Buffalo Chicken Dip!

Now, this isn’t just any dip. This is the kind of dip that makes you want to skip the veggies and just dive straight into the cheesy, spicy, savory goodness. Whether you’re gearing up for football season or just a crowd pleasing dish at Thanksgiving, this dip is your winning ticket. And guess what? It’s so easy to make and pairs well with any of my savory pretzel flavors.

Here’s what you’ll need:

  • 2 large chicken breasts
  • 4 cups of chicken broth
  • 2 packages (8 oz each) of cream cheese
  • 1 cup Frank’s Red Hot Sauce (This specific hot sauce will give your taste buds a little kick!)
  • 1 cup Ranch dressing
  • 2 cups sharp cheddar cheese

Instructions:

  1. Cook the Chicken: Pop those chicken breasts with the chicken broth into your crock pot. Let them cook on low for about 3-4 hours or until they’re cooked through and tender. If you’re in a hurry, 2-3 hours on high will do the trick too. Once the chicken is done, shred it up with two forks right in the crock pot.
  2. Add the Good Stuff: Cube up the cream cheese and toss it into the crockpot, add Frank’s Red Hot Sauce, Ranch dressing, and sharp cheddar cheese. Give everything a good stir so that all the ingredients meld together beautifully.
  3. Let it Simmer: Cover the crock pot and let the mixture cook on low for about an hour. Stir it occasionally, and watch as the creamy, cheesy dip becomes a bubbling masterpiece of deliciousness.
  4. Serve and Enjoy: Serve this dip hot with your favorite Granny’s Pretzels ( The cheese, chili lime, or original pairs perfectly with this savory dip.

This recipe is as versatile as it is tasty. Need more for a big bash? Double it! Just cooking for you and a friend? Halve it! Either way, you’re in for a treat that’s bound to make your dip the MVP of every party.

So, there you have it – Granny’s Buffalo Chicken Dip: a spicy, creamy delight that’s perfect for any occasion.

Dive in, enjoy, and don’t forget to share the love.

Until next time, keep it classy!

Much love & hugs from your Granny <3.
